Spectators: 10882 (Terracing: 8162, Seating: 2503, VIP seats: 217) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Graeme Sharp started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony McConnell in the 3rd minute of play forced Floodish FC's goalkeeper Keith Scotland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Jamie Federith got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Keith Scotland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamie Federith in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Vincent Gardner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Keith Scotland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony McConnell, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Keith Scotland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Graeme Sharp in the 16th minute of the match. When Theo McNeish came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Floodish FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theo McNeish couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Alloa Golden Blades's Bobby Collins got a free kick in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Theo McNeish in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruce Cooper saved Alloa Golden Blades from getting behind. Keith Scotland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony McConnell in the 31st minute of play. After 32 minutes of play, Floodish FC's Paddy McNeish made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruce Cooper was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Graeme Sharp in the 36th minute of play forced Floodish FC's goalkeeper Keith Scotland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keith Scotland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Graeme Sharp in the 41st minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Jay Menzies hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Floodish FC's Keith Scotland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamie Federith in the 51st minute of play. Jamie Federith's late challenge caught a Floodish FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jamie Federith helped the player get up and apologised. Jamie Federith hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Jamie Federith managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alloa Golden Blades's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jamie Federith was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnny Davie in the 65th minute of play forced Alloa Golden Blades's goalkeeper Bruce Cooper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Johnny Davie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruce Cooper was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Blair McClure's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruce Cooper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Alloa Golden Blades's goal looked a bit too open when Blair McClure came free, but Bruce Cooper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Blair McClure shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruce Cooper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Floodish FC fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Floodish FC's Paddy McNeish looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony McConnell in the 75th minute of play forced Floodish FC's goalkeeper Keith Scotland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute of the match Alloa Golden Blades got a corner. Floodish FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tony McConnell ran over to the corner to take the kick. Keith Scotland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Graeme Sharp in the 80th minute of the match. Bruce Cooper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paddy McNeish in the 82nd minute of play. Keith Scotland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamie Federith, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 93 minutes, Jonathan McDaniell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Floodish FC and the Alloa Golden Blades players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Floodish FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Jonathan McDaniell hit a great ball. Keith Scotland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graeme Sharp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alloa Golden Blades's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tony McConnell in the 96th minute. Floodish FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
