The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Sacramento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Neves in the 11th minute of play. If Paulo Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Nuno Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the match, SC Sagres's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Neves came free, but Tomás Sacramento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Xavier Corte-Real fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Sagres's protests and gave Xavier Corte-Real a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Sagres's Xavier Corte-Real got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Nuno Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C Porto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Pedro Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nuno Soares came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the F.C Porto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Soares couldn't finish the play. Tomás Sacramento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Neves in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Sagres's zone, Nuno Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Sacramento came out of the goal and Nuno Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuno Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Pedro Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C Porto's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Sacramento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dércio Camacho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nuno Soares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomás Sacramento having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Lourenço Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C Porto's supporters rose to their feet, but Lourenço Leite was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Sacramento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomás Sacramento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lourenço Leite in the 63rd minute. After some careless play in the SC Sagres defense, Adelino Garcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomás Sacramento. The SC Sagres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás Sacramento should have stopped the shot. Pedro Neves struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Tomás Sacramento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C Porto. SC Sagres's Tomás Sacramento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save SC Sagres from getting a goal against them. Tomás Sacramento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Neves kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 81stth minute. Though ot was a great shot SC Sagres's keeper Tomás Sacramento was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. A hard shot 85 in the game by Pedro Neves from a close distance when the talented Tomás Sacramento managed to make a qualified save. SC Sagres's players were relieved. In the 93rd minute, Paulo Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. F.C Porto's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
