Foia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferragudo FC the free kick. Jacob Aires hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Hélder Pedroso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Catarino Horta went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 11th match minute, Ferragudo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Faro to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the game, Albérico Pais was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Foia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferragudo FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Foia FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ferragudo FC:s goal. After a rather tough play, Ferragudo FC's Paulo Maia got a free kick in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Paulo Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferragudo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Mafra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gonçalo Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Moisés Mafra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Ferragudo FC got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Faro. Moisés Mafra made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Paulo Maia sent off a good shot on target. Cláudio Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Mafra having to interfere. When Cláudio Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Ferragudo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cláudio Monteiro couldn't finish the play. Paulo Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ferragudo FC booed when Foia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Catarino Horta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Maia was the one to do the kick off. Gonçalo Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Moisés Mafra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valério Flores kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. When Gonçalo Faro came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ferragudo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonçalo Faro couldn't finish the play. Gonçalo Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Mafra having to interfere. After some careless play in the Foia FC defense, Vítor Assis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Moisés Mafra. The Foia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moisés Mafra should have stopped the shot. Hélder Pedroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Brochado, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Paulo Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gonçalo Faro fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferragudo FC's protests and gave Gonçalo Faro a yellow card for diving instead. Gonçalo Faro kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Paulo Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vítor Assis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vítor Assis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alberto Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Mafra having to interfere. Foia FC's Armando Albuquerque suffered a concussion after 89 minutes and had to leave the field. After 89 minutes, Vítor Assis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ferragudo FC and the Foia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ferragudo FC's Vítor Assis got a free kick in the 90th minute. Hélder Pedroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Aires in the 95th minute of the match. Ferragudo FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
