Vítor Valente charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vítor Valente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Lazaro booed when Caxinas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Vladimiro Parente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 11 minutes, Vasco Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Lazaro and the Caxinas players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SC Lazaro getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Vasco Sousa hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Eusébio Corte-Real put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mariano Leite. Jan Furtok showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Faria in the 18th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Diogo Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th match minute, Caxinas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregório Carvalheira to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Machado in the 29th minute of play forced Caxinas's goalkeeper Jan Furtok to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusébio Corte-Real in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mariano Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute of the match Diogo Sanches shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mariano Leite showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 33rd match minute, SC Lazaro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viriato Faria to maneuver through the defense. Vladimiro Parente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eusébio Corte-Real had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimiro Parente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Leite having to interfere. A collision led to Caxinas getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Vítor Valente hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vladimiro Parente was the one to do the kick off. Vladimiro Parente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusébio Corte-Real fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Leite having to interfere. Vítor Valente was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Vítor Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Caxinas's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Machado came free, but Jan Furtok reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caxinas's Jan Furtok played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Machado in the 63rd minute of play. If Eusébio Corte-Real had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Lazaro's Jorge Lisboa got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eusébio Corte-Real sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Corte-Real received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Mariano Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, SC Lazaro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Leite made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Eusébio Corte-Real sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the match, Eusébio Corte-Real notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of SC Lazaro's Mariano Leite. Mariano Leite was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Vladimiro Parente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Furtok showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Caxinas played a much better game than SC Lazaro and deserved their victory. The SC Lazaro players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
