VALE DO PESO
Spectators: 5007 (Terracing: 4001, Seating: 1001, VIP seats: 5) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jacinto Sanches started the match with the kick off. When Rúben Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palaios FC's protests and gave Rúben Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Palaios FC's zone, Caetano Santiago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eurico Figueiras came out of the goal and Caetano Santiago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Matias in the 7th minute of play forced VALE DO PESO FC's goalkeeper Rogério Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Hermínio Sobral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rúben Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Rogério Sá came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Palaios FC's Rúben Miranda. But to his dismay, Rúben Miranda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rúben Miranda in the 16th minute of play forced VALE DO PESO FC's goalkeeper Rogério Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th match minute, VALE DO PESO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Palmiro Lencastre to maneuver through the defense. Rúben Miranda took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogério Sá. Rogério Sá dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Rogério Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Matias in the 26th minute of play. If Caetano Santiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caetano Santiago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vicente Cruz during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th match minute, VALE DO PESO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Cruz to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Palaios FC's Paulino Mendes got a free kick in the 38th minute. Caetano Santiago struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Eurico Figueiras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VALE DO PESO FC. Eurico Figueiras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Sanches in the 46th minute of the match.

55 minutes into the match, Palaios FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Sanches came free, but Eurico Figueiras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hermínio Sobral came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the VALE DO PESO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermínio Sobral couldn't finish the play. Rogério Sá made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Rúben Miranda sent off a good shot on target. Rúben Miranda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Rogério Sá made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Palaios FC's Rogério Sá threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Noel Matias, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Palaios FC's zone, Caetano Santiago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eurico Figueiras came out of the goal and Caetano Santiago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rúben Miranda received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rogério Sá came out and tried to block the shot, but Rúben Miranda slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 72nd minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Hermínio Sobral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VALE DO PESO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermínio Sobral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rúben Miranda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Rogério Sá skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Adolfo Álvares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Rúben Miranda put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Rogério Sá. A collision led to VALE DO PESO FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Celso Ferrão hit a great ball. Eurico Figueiras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Santiago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 100 minutes Palaios FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Celso Ferrão who took care of the corner kick. Celso Ferrão made a great header on VALE DO PESO FC's corner, it was just that Palaios FC's Eurico Figueiras managed to reach the ball for a save. Palaios FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
