When Carlos Pimenta fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Odeleite F.C's protests and gave Carlos Pimenta a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Manhente FC booed when Odeleite F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Cândido Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manhente FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cândido Cortez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Catarino Mourão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erasmo Fernendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermínio Couto in the 23rd minute of the match. André Telinhos scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Catarino Mourão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cândido Cortez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Odeleite F.C got a freekick which was hit by Teófilo Estrada. After some careless play in the Odeleite F.C defense, Cândido Cortez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Catarino Mourão. The Odeleite F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Catarino Mourão should have stopped the shot. In the 63rd minute, Cândido Cortez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manhente FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Catarino Mourão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cândido Cortez's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. If Adalberto Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Catarino Mourão having to interfere.
