FC Galaxy were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Portugal Roots Generation's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ove Abrahamsson took the corner. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Portugal Roots Generation! Diogo Costa went to the wrong direction when Ove Abrahamsson was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A collision led to FC Galaxy getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ove Abrahamsson hit a great ball. Prince Taylor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Rebocho having to interfere. Diogo Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Peralta's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 32nd minute, Prince Taylor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sílvio Peralta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baltasar Bezerra made in the 40th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cândido Trigueiro. When Alejandro Gregory fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Galaxy's protests and gave Alejandro Gregory a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Alejandro Gregory hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sílvio Peralta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sílvio Peralta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Costa having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The audience was convinced that Sílvio Peralta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diogo Costa was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Vali Chiuzbaian kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Tomás Rebocho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prince Taylor in the 76th minute of play. Tomás Rebocho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prince Taylor went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. In the 79th minute Sílvio Peralta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Sílvio Peralta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Galaxy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portugal Roots Generation the free kick. The supporters of Portugal Roots Generation booed when FC Galaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vali Chiuzbaian didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Prince Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Galaxy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
