The crowd rose to their feet as Manuel Ruas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Barbosa. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Pedro Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Ruas in the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Marialva S.C. booed when Estrada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervásio Seabra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Estrada FC's goalkeeper Pedro Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gică Drumeș. The wind increased when Albertino Corte-Real made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Estrada FC got a corner. Marialva S.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Graciano Miranda ran over to the corner to take the kick. Angelo Prada made a great header on Estrada FC's corner, it was just that Marialva S.C.'s Fernando Tinoco managed to reach the ball for a save. Pedro Barbosa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 73 minutes into the match, Pablo Sarabia notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Estrada FC's Pedro Barbosa. Pedro Barbosa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
