In the 12th minute Armindo Castanheira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match Sords Team got a corner. Bombo Fc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rafael Raposo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vítor Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armindo Castanheira in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bombo Fc's Santiago Lisboa got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Tomás Teles fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bombo Fc's protests and gave Tomás Teles a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bombo Fc's Tomás Teles got a free kick in the 21st minute. Vítor Marinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armindo Castanheira went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Óscar Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Marinho having to interfere. When Santiago Lisboa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 30 minutes had been played. The supporters of Sords Team booed when Bombo Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Lisboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Armindo Castanheira made a precise shot to the right of Vítor Marinho. Bombo Fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Cláudio Teves kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The Bombo Fc players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sords Team were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cláudio Teves to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Bombo Fc's zone, Armindo Castanheira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Marinho came out of the goal and Armindo Castanheira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Rafael Raposo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Sords Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Raposo couldn't finish the play. Bombo Fc's Vítor Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julião Damásio in the 60th minute of play. Gil Campos made in the 62nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Bombo Fc's Benedito Malta. Benedito Malta's late challenge caught a Sords Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benedito Malta helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sords Team booed when Bombo Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedito Malta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had been going on for 68 minutes, Sords Team's Rafael Raposo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vítor Marinho. Julião Damásio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Vítor Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bombo Fc's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Óscar Freire 80 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Óscar Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heitor Palhares didn't quite understand what happened when in the 89 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Armindo Castanheira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vítor Marinho firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sords Team's Armindo Castanheira suffered a concussion after 93 minutes and had to leave the field. Belchior Seixas charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Belchior Seixas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sords Team made a substitution. Hermenegildo Lousada replaced Armindo Castanheira. Durval Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belchior Seixas, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. Sords Team's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
