C U D Leverense's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Teobald Snaza ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led F. C. Bairro do Liceu's Teobald Snaza to fire away a dangerous shot which Jesualdo Ferreira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Nicu Văduva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C U D Leverense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicu Văduva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bogdan Niedbalski got free with Teodoro Gusmão in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adalberto Campelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesualdo Ferreira having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, F. C. Bairro do Liceu's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Zgrăbunţa came free, but Teodoro Gusmão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28thth minute of the game Östen Grelsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C U D Leverense's Jesualdo Ferreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teodoro Gusmão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valentin Zgrăbunţa went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Teodoro Gusmão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Zgrăbunţa in the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Adalberto Campelo made the kick off in the second half. Bogdan Niedbalski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out.
