Januário Rangel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Imre Hellinger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pinhote FC's Ni Guang Yong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mo Feng Xiang in the 6th minute of play. Ricardo Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save MEXACOMX from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sílvio Luís Ceresso got free with Januário Rangel in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ni Guang Yong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Meireles in the 14th minute of play. But to his dismay, Waldemar Rosen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Imre Hellinger in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Pinhote FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Guillelme Lomas hit a great ball. After 43 played minutes Pinhote FC got a freekick which was hit by Bart Buckinx. Kjetil-André Grønseth struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Ni Guang Yong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MEXACOMX. In the 46th minute, Ricardo Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ricardo Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Imre Hellinger to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Guerra in the 53rd minute of play forced Pinhote FC's goalkeeper Ni Guang Yong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Guerra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ni Guang Yong came out and tried to block the shot, but Ricardo Guerra slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute of the match, Joaquin Sedillo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ni Guang Yong was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Rosen in the 57th minute of play. Waldemar Rosen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Januário Rangel having to make a save. In the 78th minute, Joaquin Sedillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sílvio Luís Ceresso took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Januário Rangel. Januário Rangel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the MEXACOMX players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pinhote FC.
