David Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antony Bruno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Bastos made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Fu Han Qiang sent off a good shot on target. David Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Ruas in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Christou in the 20th minute of play forced Andarilhos's goalkeeper Jon Oblak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jon Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Pessoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 played minutes Andarilhos got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Velasques. David Bastos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fu Han Qiang in the 31st minute. David Bastos made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Fu Han Qiang sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Freire in the 35th minute of play forced Andarilhos's goalkeeper Jon Oblak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Jorge Morais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Bastos made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Fu Han Qiang sent off a good shot on target. David Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antony Bruno in the 43rd minute of play. Andarilhos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorge Ruas in the 44th minute. The corner led Andarilhos's Jorge Ruas to fire away a dangerous shot which David Bastos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Andarilhos's Victorino Oto was substituted for Fu Han Qiang. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victorino Oto to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Andarilhos getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Antony Bruno hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in AM United's zone, Antony Bruno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Bastos came out of the goal and Antony Bruno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute, Teodoro Freire reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jon Oblak. The goal made the score 0-1. In the 73rd minute Victorino Oto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Teodoro Freire ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jon Oblak was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 81st minute of the match, Nikos Christou tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jon Oblak saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jon Oblak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Pessoa in the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Andarilhos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. João Osório was slow to take the kick. During this time AM United's players had a chance to rest. João Osório made a great header on AM United's corner, it was just that Andarilhos's Jon Oblak managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the AM United defense, Antony Bruno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Bastos. The AM United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Bastos should have stopped the shot. Jorge Morais kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Oto came free, but David Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodoro Freire got free with Jon Oblak in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th match minute, Andarilhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrício Dias to maneuver through the defense. The AM United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AM United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
