With a little luck, Mira United FC's Eriberto Bonadona got control of the ball when Fidel Veronica tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Mira United FC's Gregório Neiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gusmão Dias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SC Serrinho's Cristóvão Rebelo got a free kick in the 20th minute. Gregório Neiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gusmão Dias having to make a save. Gusmão Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregório Neiva in the 23rd minute of play. Eriberto Bonadona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute of the match Mira United FC got a corner. SC Serrinho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nel Ybarbo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Gregório Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mira United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregório Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gusmão Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The SC Serrinho players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mira United FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermínio Barbosa made a kick off. If Cristóvão Rebelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gusmão Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregório Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gregório Neiva came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gusmão Dias could save by the left post. Gregório Neiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gusmão Dias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregório Neiva got free with Gusmão Dias in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eriberto Bonadona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermínio Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Cristóvão Rebelo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eriberto Bonadona was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. If Hermínio Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Fidel Veronica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see SC Serrinho lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
