Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 25) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Eldgrímur Ingimarsson made the kick off which started today's match. Jóhann Sólbergsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eldgrímur Ingimarsson in the 5th minute of the match. Jóhann Sólbergsson made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Rósinberg Ljótsson sent off a good shot on target. Kristján Nikulásson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KLSAGA Sudureyri's Eðvarð Sæmundsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svangeir Bergmansson in the 12th minute of play. When Griffill's Loki Dagþórsson in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KLSAGA Sudureyri's goalie prevented a goal. Eðvarð Sæmundsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loki Dagþórsson in the 18th minute of play. Jóhann Sólbergsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eldgrímur Ingimarsson in the 21st minute of the match. Eðvarð Sæmundsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loki Dagþórsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Svangeir Bergmansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eðvarð Sæmundsson having to interfere. When Svangeir Bergmansson came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Griffill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Svangeir Bergmansson couldn't finish the play. If Svangeir Bergmansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Jóhann Sólbergsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eldgrímur Ingimarsson in the 52nd minute of play. Svangeir Bergmansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Svangeir Bergmansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KLSAGA Sudureyri's Eðvarð Sæmundsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svangeir Bergmansson in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Svangeir Bergmansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Griffill's supporters rose to their feet, but Svangeir Bergmansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eðvarð Sæmundsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eðvarð Sæmundsson was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Svangeir Bergmansson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Svangeir Bergmansson really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. After 77 played minutes Griffill got a freekick which was hit by Loki Dagþórsson. Jóhann Sólbergsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eldgrímur Ingimarsson in the 79th minute of play. A hard shot 86 in the game by Loki Dagþórsson from a close distance when the talented Eðvarð Sæmundsson managed to make a qualified save. KLSAGA Sudureyri's players were relieved. Eðvarð Sæmundsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute Eldgrímur Ingimarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jóhann Sólbergsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Griffill supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Griffill would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
