An unexpectedly hard shot by Bjólfur Hallvarðsson in the 19th minute of play forced Emeryci's goalkeeper Ymir Leifsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Emeryci's Kormákur Margrímsson in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Globus Selfossi's goalie prevented a goal. If Max Níelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Max Níelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tjörfi Vilmarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Max Níelsson came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Emeryci fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Max Níelsson couldn't finish the play. Globus Selfossi's Tjörfi Vilmarsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Globus Selfossi from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Max Níelsson made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Níelsson in the 53rd minute of play forced Globus Selfossi's goalkeeper Tjörfi Vilmarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Globus Selfossi's goal looked a bit too open when Kjartan Ottósson came free, but Tjörfi Vilmarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ymir Leifsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hljómur Ormarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sigríkur Hilmirsson got free with Ymir Leifsson in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th match minute, Emeryci was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vígsteinn Indriðason to maneuver through the defense. Ymir Leifsson made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Leví Galdursson sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Makan Tryggvason managed to get in a good position for a shot. Globus Selfossi's supporters rose to their feet, but Makan Tryggvason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ymir Leifsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tjörfi Vilmarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kormákur Margrímsson in the 86th minute of the match. Ymir Leifsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sigríkur Hilmirsson in the 87th minute.
