Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fergus AFC's Becc Cooney started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fergus AFC's Toran Moran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reamann Doherty in the 9th minute of play. Reamann Doherty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Toran Moran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rylie Dimson might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hewney Brennan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rylie Dimson ran back to his position shaking his head. Fergus AFC's Toran Moran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torin Taylor in the 17th minute of play. If Reamann Doherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torin Taylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Toran Moran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Torin Taylor came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Athgarvan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torin Taylor couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the match, Athgarvan FC's Reamann Doherty sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toran Moran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rowen McWilliam's late challenge caught a Athgarvan FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rowen McWilliam helped the player get up and apologised. Athgarvan FC's Hewney Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Becc Cooney in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fergus AFC's zone, Torin Taylor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toran Moran came out of the goal and Torin Taylor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Reamann Doherty came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Athgarvan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reamann Doherty couldn't finish the play. After having played for 43 minutes, Torin Taylor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Athgarvan FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torin Taylor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Athgarvan FC's Hewney Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rylie Dimson in the 45th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reamann Doherty to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Reamann Doherty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toran Moran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torin Taylor's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Reamann Doherty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toran Moran having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Fergus AFC got a freekick which was hit by Donavan McPaul. Rylie Dimson kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 67thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Athgarvan FC's keeper Hewney Brennan was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Reamann Doherty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Athgarvan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reamann Doherty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toran Moran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reamann Doherty in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toran Moran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 76 minutes, Aodh Todd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fergus AFC and the Athgarvan FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Athgarvan FC booed when Fergus AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aodh Todd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torin Taylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Toran Moran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Fergus AFC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Donavan McPaul hit a great ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Reamann Doherty left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Athgarvan FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reamann Doherty in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toran Moran saved Fergus AFC from getting behind. Reamann Doherty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rylie Dimson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Hewney Brennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, one of Athgarvan FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Athgarvan FC. Athgarvan FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
