In the 3rd minute, Drink Team's Bell Dempsey dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Roy McCollion charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roy McCollion the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Drink Team booed when Drom Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irving Caffrey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conn McStephen in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Coran Doyle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Drom Utd's Coran Doyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conn McStephen in the 25th minute of play. Beary McGlenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Drom Utd's Ros McDecland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casey McJohn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, Drink Team's goal looked a bit too open when Ros McDecland came free, but Casey McJohn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Bodibeua Caffrey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drink Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bodibeua Caffrey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Casey McJohn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beary McGlenn, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

After a defensive mix-up in Drom Utd's zone, Conn McStephen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Coran Doyle came out of the goal and Conn McStephen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beary McGlenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beary McGlenn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Breandan Savic during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Breandan Savic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conn McStephen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Coran Doyle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to Drink Team getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Felim Tracy hit a great ball. Drink Team's Casey McJohn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Drink Team from getting a goal against them. In the 86th match minute, Drom Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy McCollion to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute Conn McStephen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Coran Doyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Drom Utd players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
