An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradain Mulvihill in the 12th minute of play forced Dublin Nutmegs's goalkeeper Pat McCready to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Bradain Mulvihill kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pat McCready. That made the score 1-1 in the 13 minute of play. Séamus John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Beckett in the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Shamrock rovers's zone, Joseph Beckett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Séamus John came out of the goal and Joseph Beckett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bran McWillie hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Joseph Beckett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joseph Beckett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Séamus John tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bradain Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Torran Caffey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Shamrock rovers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Bradain Mulvihill was extremely unlucky when he, in the 36th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bradain Mulvihill made a kick off. Beiti McNamara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Séamus John made a huge save. In the 56th minute, Torran Caffey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dublin Nutmegs's Pat McCready played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bran McWillie in the 58th minute of play. Torran Caffey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pat McCready having to interfere. Pat McCready showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torran Caffey, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Pat McCready showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradain Mulvihill in the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torran Caffey in the 69th minute of play forced Dublin Nutmegs's goalkeeper Pat McCready to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Joseph Beckett's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Séamus John was relentless in the 74th minute of the game.
