After a defensive mix-up in Gracedieu's zone, Tierney Barrett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beacan Hunt came out of the goal and Tierney Barrett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ennis Tracy succeeded in the game's 16th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Beacan Hunt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blathma McDecland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Blian Beckett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartel Crowe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ballyguin's Blathma McDecland got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Banan Barrett made a precise shot to the right of Bartel Crowe. Ballyguin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Blayne Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Ballyguin's Blathma McDecland got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ballyguin booed when Gracedieu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blanche Caffrey didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ennis Tracy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Gracedieu getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Blayne Matthews hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. Beacan Hunt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennis Tracy, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Aubrey McPaul stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Beacan Hunt. 2-2. Beacan Hunt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Kelly in the 78th minute of play. Richard Gallagher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bartel Crowe having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Ballyguin's Reidy McVictor got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The supporters of Ballyguin booed when Gracedieu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Banan Barrett didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennis Tracy in the 96th minute of play forced Gracedieu's goalkeeper Beacan Hunt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
