With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeff Bartlett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the game, Ash United's Garret Bale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeff Bartlett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ronan Broom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ken Tanner having to interfere. If Ronan Broom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Garret Bale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeff Bartlett was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Ken Tanner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronan Broom went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Garret Bale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeff Bartlett was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Ash United's Todd Stonehouse got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Ash United's Garret Bale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeff Bartlett narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Garret Bale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Steven Moody fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeff Bartlett having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sonny Middleton during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jeff Bartlett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garret Bale's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Garret Bale took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeff Bartlett. Jeff Bartlett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Jeff Bartlett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steven Moody in the 90th minute. The supporters of Princes Risborough booed when Ash United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Princes Risborough fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ash United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
