After 26 minutes of play, Biggleswade FC's Verne McNiven made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kirk Carlick was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kirk Carlick stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sam Lambourne's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 37th minute of the match, Tyler Mudd tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carl Rowell saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 41stth minute of the game Verne McNiven who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Havant's Kirk Carlick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Verne McNiven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Kirk Carlick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sam Lambourne made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Tyler Thompson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyler Thompson in the 60th minute of play forced Biggleswade FC's goalkeeper Carl Rowell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 played minutes, Havant's Simeon Haper shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carl Rowell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Havant reached it. If Sam Lambourne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tyler Thompson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sam Lambourne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Billy Newton couldn't finish the play. Biggleswade FC's Sam Lambourne got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Sam Lambourne fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Kirk Carlick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Lambourne, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 85 minutes of play, Havant's Tyler Thompson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carl Rowell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alex Dixon kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Tyler Thompson might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carl Rowell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tyler Thompson ran back to his position shaking his head. If Billy Newton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
