With a little luck, Tring Town FC's Derek Bourne got control of the ball when Alfie Mortlock tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfie Mortlocks short, quick shot in the 99thth minute got Derek Bourne to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tring Town FC fully deserved thier win.
