Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Cliff Evans started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ritchie Bzeu in the 6th minute of play forced Wycombe Wanderers F.C's goalkeeper Steven Baxter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matthew Llyod recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Wycombe Wanderers F.C's Brynn Delaney got a free kick in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, North Petherton United's Jerome Cawood broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 15 minutes into the match, North Petherton United's goalkeeper Gerry Crichton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Doughty. When Joshua Blower fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wycombe Wanderers F.C's protests and gave Joshua Blower a yellow card for diving instead. Steven Baxter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ritchie Bzeu in the 25th minute of the match. After some careless play in the North Petherton United defense, Fred Doughty kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerry Crichton. The North Petherton United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerry Crichton should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute, Garry Crtichell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, North Petherton United's Kristopher Fairbank got a free kick in the 37th minute. Fred Doughty in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gerry Crichton, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ritchie Bzeu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven Baxter having to interfere. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind North Petherton United's goalkeeper Gerry Crichton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Matthew Llyod sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fred Doughty's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerry Crichton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Fred Doughty scored 2-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerry Crichton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute Cliff Evans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerry Crichton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, North Petherton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olly Sissons to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Wycombe Wanderers F.C getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Joshua Blower hit a great ball. Jerome Cawood, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 80th minute Ritchie Bzeu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steven Baxter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wycombe Wanderers F.C's Cliff Evans got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matthew Llyod could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Steven Baxter made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Ritchie Bzeu managed to get in a good position for a shot. North Petherton United's supporters rose to their feet, but Ritchie Bzeu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steven Baxter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, North Petherton United's Ritchie Bzeu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Steven Baxter was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Ritchie Bzeu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ritchie Bzeu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the North Petherton United players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
