Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Broomhill's Fitz Heath started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Phil Cheeseman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fitz Heath in the 6th minute of the match. Johnathon Hindmarsh took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Phil Cheeseman. Great Addington's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Len Marriot notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Great Addington's Phil Cheeseman. Phil Cheeseman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 12 played minutes Broomhill got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Wellings. Phil Cheeseman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fitz Heath, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gordon Pollard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kris Morris having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Great Addington's Alfred Pryor got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Kristopher Shuttleworth struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Phil Cheeseman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Broomhill. Thanks to some nice moves Dom Hughes could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Phil Cheeseman however easily saved by the left post. If Danny Milburn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeff Rocastle hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match.
