A collision led to Chelski FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Andre Bevan hit a great ball. Zane Hargraves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Duncan McNiven. Chelski FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jake Vassell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacob Thorn acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Andre Bevan. 21 minutes into the match, Chelski FC's Lennie Charlton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacob Thorn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Marek Coogan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duncan McNiven came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Stoneleigh's Stevie Welsh. But to his dismay, Stevie Welsh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Benjamin Barnfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Thorn having to interfere. After 32 minutes of play, Stoneleigh's Stevie Welsh made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Duncan McNiven was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chelski FC's goalkeeper Duncan McNiven, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Freddie Faith fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stoneleigh's protests and gave Freddie Faith a yellow card for diving instead. Jacob Thorn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennie Charlton in the 40th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Marek Coogan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duncan McNiven was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Benjamin Barnfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Thorn having to interfere. Hayden Forster hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marek Coogan to make the kick off. After 53 minutes Chelski FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zane Hargraves who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Marek Coogan to score against Duncan McNiven in Chelski FC's goal. 0-4 after 53 minutes. Duncan McNiven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marek Coogan, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Stoneleigh's Stevie Welsh got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacob Thorn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennie Charlton, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Lennie Charlton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Lennie Charlton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacob Thorn. Stoneleigh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lennie Charlton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Jacob Thorn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennie Charlton in the 77th minute of the match. Benjamin Barnfield scored 2-4 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacob Thorn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jacob Thorn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennie Charlton in the 89th minute of the match. Marek Coogan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duncan McNiven having to interfere. During the 93rd minute of the match Freddie Faith completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Freddie Faith a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Chelski FC booed when Stoneleigh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddie Faith didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennie Charlton in the 96th minute of play forced Stoneleigh's goalkeeper Jacob Thorn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Stoneleigh walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
