Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Len Bradbury started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Harry Stockton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gregory Carter was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Gregory Carter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Len Bradbury, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norman Coleman during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Norman Coleman kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Gregory Carter came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Matlock's Harry Stockton. But to his dismay, Harry Stockton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Gregory Carter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Len Bradbury in the 26th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Jamal Hunter came free, but Gregory Carter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Gregory Carter managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Matlock's Harry Stockton fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Glen Goodwin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kurt Bullock read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. A collision led to Matlock getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Alistair Notley hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Matlock's zone, Isaac Orchard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt Bullock came out of the goal and Isaac Orchard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gregory Carter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alistair Notley in the 46th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Glen Goodwin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roma's supporters rose to their feet, but Glen Goodwin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Bullock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Glen Goodwin was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Len Bradbury got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Len Bradbury received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Gregory Carter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute Harry Stockton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Carter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregory Carter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Len Bradbury in the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Len Bradbury shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Carter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregory Carter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamal Hunter in the 81st minute of play. After 83 minutes of play, Matlock's Harry Stockton made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gregory Carter was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Veli-Matti Lamminen fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Roma's protests and gave Veli-Matti Lamminen a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Roma! Gregory Carter had in the 90thth minute some difficulties stopping Stew Clement's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Gregory Carter came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Matlock's Stew Clement. But to his dismay, Stew Clement quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The long shot by Honorio Quinito in the 97th minute really tested Kurt Bullock's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Len Bradbury fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 101st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregory Carter having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Matlock players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
