Glyn Scholes hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Jonny Hurdle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute Glyn Scholes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dom Hayles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute Les Markham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dom Hayles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruben Hume took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dom Hayles. Lubenita Godlob's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Les Markham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Glyn Scholes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Les Markham got free with Dom Hayles in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andre Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benji Warden, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Andre Byrne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Wilson in the 77th minute of the match. Andre Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benji Warden in the 79th minute of play. Andre Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benji Warden, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
