Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bill Eubank kicked off to start the match. After 6 played minutes Bristol St George City got a freekick which was hit by Deon Maylett. After a defensive mix-up in Thamesmead's zone, Leigh Dyson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alastair Acton came out of the goal and Leigh Dyson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ged Thomson kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Zane Rowling succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. A collision led to Bristol St George City getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ed Oates hit a great ball. Zane Rowling struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Steve Speed didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thamesmead. In the 25th match minute, Thamesmead was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shane Lovell to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Ed Oates hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zane Rowling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Bristol St George City's goalkeeper Steve Speed had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shane Lovell. Adam Biernat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Alastair Acton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Leigh Dyson made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leigh Dyson in the 51st minute of play forced Thamesmead's goalkeeper Alastair Acton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deon Maylett kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Steve Speed took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bill Eubank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute Zane Rowling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Speed saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Bill Eubank left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thamesmead fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Leigh Dyson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bill Eubank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Steve Speed tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steve Speed showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zane Rowling in the 86th minute of the match. Steve Speed showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zane Rowling, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Bill Eubank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bristol St George City's Steve Speed played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zane Rowling in the 92nd minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Thamesmead players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
