Lewis Hamilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ash Charles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roy Runberg in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ash Charles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Elstree Brigades F.C's zone, Ritchie Holdcroft stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Linford came out of the goal and Ritchie Holdcroft tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eric Linford made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Nicky Harrington sent off a good shot on target. Ash Charles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Kaczynski in the 23rd minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, Elstree Brigades F.C's Marian Kaczynski made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ash Charles was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Elstree Brigades F.C booed when Wakefield Vikings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Bryden didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36thth minute of the game Roy Runberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wakefield Vikings's Ash Charles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ash Charles came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Elstree Brigades F.C's Marian Kaczynski. But to his dismay, Marian Kaczynski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ash Charles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roy Runberg's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Nicky Harrington could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Eric Linford made a huge save. Ash Charles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roy Runberg went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The Wakefield Vikings players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Elstree Brigades F.C were winning 0-3.

Ash Charles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Kaczynski in the 55th minute of play. Roy Runberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ash Charles having to interfere. Harvey Townson might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ash Charles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harvey Townson ran back to his position shaking his head. Marian Kaczynski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ash Charles having to interfere. Ash Charles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Runberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicky Harrington in the 69th minute of play forced Elstree Brigades F.C's goalkeeper Eric Linford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nicky Harrington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Roy Runberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the game, Elstree Brigades F.C's Marian Kaczynski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ash Charles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. If Marian Kaczynski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 minutes, Marian Kaczynski made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Wakefield Vikings's Ash Charles tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
