Tony United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leicester United the free kick. After 4 played minutes Tony United got a freekick which was hit by Conal Scholey. When Warren Byfield fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leicester United's protests and gave Warren Byfield a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Leicester United got a freekick which was hit by Warren Byfield. Barrie Chalk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kevin Mabbutt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Leicester United's Kevin Mabbutt got a free kick in the 18th minute. Conal Houghton struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Pedro Hampshire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tony United. Pedro Hampshire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barrie Chalk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conal Houghton's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Pedro Hampshire skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Barrie Chalk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Barrie Chalk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Hampshire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conal Scholey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Pedro Hampshire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nathanial Burns's late challenge caught a Leicester United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nathanial Burns helped the player get up and apologised.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Mabbutt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Barrie Chalk might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Hampshire. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barrie Chalk ran back to his position shaking his head. 54 minutes into the game, one of Leicester United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Barrie Chalk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Pedro Hampshire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Hampshire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barrie Chalk in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conal Houghton in the 67th minute of play forced Leicester United's goalkeeper Pedro Hampshire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Leicester United getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Graeme Tolley hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Leicester United's goal looked a bit too open when Conal Houghton came free, but Pedro Hampshire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conal Houghton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Hampshire having to interfere. Pedro Hampshire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barrie Chalk in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tony United's goalkeeper Fraser Seagrave, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 80th minute Barrie Chalk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Hampshire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Hampshire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conal Houghton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barrie Chalk in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Hampshire prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leicester United's goalkeeper Pedro Hampshire, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nathanial Burns hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Tony United were the better team. Tony United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
