Spectators: 7564 (Terracing: 5674, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 151) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alan Roberts kicked off to start the match. Liam Adams made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keiran Glanvill in the 3rd minute of play. Carlton Byfield charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlton Byfield the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlton Byfield hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Brigden's Liam Adams played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pete Delaney in the 7th minute of play. Andy Newman's late challenge caught a Eston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andy Newman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, Brigden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Newman to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Alan Roberts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eston's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Roberts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liam Adams breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 12 played minutes Brigden got a freekick which was hit by Shaun Giles. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Roberts in the 16th minute of play forced Brigden's goalkeeper Liam Adams to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pete Delaney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Keiran Glanvill during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 played minutes Eston got a freekick which was hit by Keiran Glanvill. Eston's Pete Delaney got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liam Adams showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pete Delaney in the 33rd minute of the match. After 34 minutes, Alan Roberts made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Brigden's Liam Adams tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sammy Hicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Den Dobson in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Den Dobson made a kick off. Eston's Alan Roberts got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Brigden's Liam Adams got control of the ball when Pete Delaney tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pete Delaney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liam Adams stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alan Roberts's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute, Alan Roberts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Brigden's Liam Adams got control of the ball when Pete Delaney tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alan Roberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liam Adams having to interfere. In the 71st minute Freddie Purkiss suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Den Dobson's late challenge caught a Eston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Den Dobson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Eston booed when Brigden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Den Dobson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pete Delaney struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Liam Adams didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eston. Pete Delaneys short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Liam Adams to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pete Delaney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Liam Adams made a huge save. Eston's Sammy Hicks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grant Blake in the 92nd minute of play. Eston played a much better game than Brigden and deserved their victory. The Brigden players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
