The supporters of STAC XI booed when Kohala Gunners FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Douglas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 played minutes, STAC XI's Spike Hellen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vinnie Hughes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in STAC XI reached it. In the 12thth minute of the game Victor Sargent who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kohala Gunners FC's Vinnie Hughes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Kohala Gunners FC's Carlton Hargreaves got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 17 minutes, Carlton Hargreaves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kohala Gunners FC and the STAC XI players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlton Hargreaves hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Sargent in the 20th minute of play forced Kohala Gunners FC's goalkeeper Vinnie Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Sargent in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinnie Hughes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vinnie Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jez Locke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Chris Douglas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Sargent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinnie Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Sargent in the 45th minute of the match. Jez Locke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

STAC XI:s Crispin Hayward showed great skill when he stopped Brynn Young:s penalty. 84 minutes into the match, Kohala Gunners FC's goalkeeper Vinnie Hughes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wally Purkiss. When Dom Unsworth came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Kohala Gunners FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dom Unsworth couldn't finish the play. Jez Locke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jez Locke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Vinnie Hughes made a huge save. In the 98th minute, STAC XI's Jez Locke ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vinnie Hughes. Vinnie Hughes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. STAC XI played a much better game than Kohala Gunners FC and deserved their victory. The Kohala Gunners FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
