Co Durham FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tod Bell charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tod Bell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bishops Castle's Tod Bell got a free kick in the 16th minute. Andrew Batty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Alastair Norfolk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bishops Castle! The referee gave Co Durham FC a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. Toby Kerfoot kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Archie Green got free with Alastair Norfolk in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stuart Brookes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huey Meadowcroft, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After some careless play in the Bishops Castle defense, Andrew Batty kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alastair Norfolk. The Bishops Castle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alastair Norfolk should have stopped the shot. Archie Hassell might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alastair Norfolk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Archie Hassell ran back to his position shaking his head. Andrew Batty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrew Batty made a kick off. When Archie Hassell fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Co Durham FC's protests and gave Archie Hassell a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Archie Green's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alastair Norfolk was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. When Brett Ferdinand came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Bishops Castle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brett Ferdinand couldn't finish the play. In the 86th match minute, Bishops Castle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daryl Nash to maneuver through the defense. Alastair Norfolk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Archie Green in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Brett Ferdinand cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Stuart Brookes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huey Meadowcroft in the 93rd minute of play forced Co Durham FC's goalkeeper Stuart Brookes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Bishops Castle players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Co Durham FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
