Spectators: 8045 (Terracing: 6035, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 160) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Matthew Bridgeman started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Matthew Bridgeman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toby Browne was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Dominik Blake scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mike Walters, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Toby Browne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don McGrath in the 13th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Dominik Blake notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Boscastle's Mike Walters. Mike Walters was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the match, Boscastle's goal looked a bit too open when Lenny Hutchins came free, but Mike Walters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Boscastle's Howard Hardwick got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Toby Browne made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Don McGrath sent off a good shot on target. Boscastle's Conan Edmunds got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matthew Bridgemans short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Toby Browne to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Denzil Tabb scored 1-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toby Browne, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Conan Edmunds fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toby Browne having to interfere. Mike Walters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominik Blake in the 41st minute of play. Dominik Blake struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Mike Walters didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boscastle. Matthew Bridgeman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toby Browne read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenny Hutchins in the 52nd minute of play forced Boscastle's goalkeeper Mike Walters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thom Falkingham kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. If Crispin Collingwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 58 minutes, Matthew Bridgeman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boscastle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matthew Bridgeman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Crispin Collingwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Toby Browne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mike Walters didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 63rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Bridgeman in the 68th minute of play forced Boscastle's goalkeeper Toby Browne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Boscastle's Crispin Collingwood nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toby Browne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. 74 minutes into the match, Boscastle's goal looked a bit too open when Crispin Collingwood came free, but Toby Browne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matthew Bridgeman in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toby Browne saved Boscastle from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Boscastle's Wally Dearden got a free kick in the 80th minute. The audience cheered when Matthew Bridgeman's long shot passed Toby Browne's right side. It was 3-3, 80 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominik Blake got free with Mike Walters in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thom Falkingham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Boscastle had played much better football throughout.
