Bobby Walker took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carl Budden. Carl Budden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Seth Talbot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dean Atkins in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to Hextable United getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Devon Bassett hit a great ball. Dom Partridge took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carl Budden. Carl Budden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With a little luck, Winchester FC's Seth Talbot got control of the ball when Craig Snowden tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calvin Walls in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carl Budden saved Hextable United from getting behind. Seth Talbot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dean Atkins in the 21st minute of the match. Carl Budden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dom Partridge in the 22nd minute of the match. Craig Snowdens short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Seth Talbot to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 34th minute, Bobby Walker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Calvin Walls sped through Hextable United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carl Budden. 40 minutes into the match, Winchester FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dean Atkins came free, but Seth Talbot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Dean Atkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seth Talbot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Winchester FC's Seth Talbot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean Atkins in the 44th minute of play. Dom Partridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Carl Budden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dean Atkins to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Winchester FC got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Walker. 53 minutes into the match, Hextable United's goal looked a bit too open when Bobby Walker came free, but Carl Budden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Hextable United's zone, Dom Partridge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carl Budden came out of the goal and Dom Partridge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute Bobby Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Budden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carl Budden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calvin Walls in the 70th minute of the match. Carl Budden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Winchester FC. Freddie Jackson hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Seth Talbot didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Craig Snowden went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. 84 minutes into the game, Bobby Walker recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carl Budden. Bobby Walker showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. Francis Deveraux charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francis Deveraux the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Calvin Walls recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Winchester FC played a much better game than Hextable United and deserved their victory. The Hextable United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
