Superbad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Stewart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Superbad's Grzegorz Bonin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that George Green narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anthony Cawood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duncan Draper in the 11th minute of play. Hugh Lonsdale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but George Green read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Duncan Draper kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Charles Cookson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grzegorz Bonin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Green having to interfere. George Green made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Grzegorz Bonin sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th match minute, Superbad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grzegorz Bonin to maneuver through the defense. Juli Rogozinskiy took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Green. George Green dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to Superbad getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Glyn Bridgeworth hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugh Lonsdale to strike the kick off in the second half. If Hugh Lonsdale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Brandon Hartson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. George Green took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugh Lonsdale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. George Green showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugh Lonsdale in the 68th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Runcorn's Fraser Westlake got a free kick in the 69th minute. Hugh Lonsdale scored 3-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Green, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th minute, Glyn Bridgeworth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 78 minutes, Hugh Lonsdale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Superbad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugh Lonsdale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Runcorn's zone, Hugh Lonsdale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Green came out of the goal and Hugh Lonsdale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brandon Hartson made in the 91st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gwyn Wybrow however managed to control. In the 92nd minute, Hugh Lonsdale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. George Green was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Superbad fully deserved thier win.
