The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, John Donnelly recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Connor Wright. John Donnelly showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Emander in the 12th minute of play forced Barr Point's goalkeeper Connor Wright to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Connor Wright made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Donnelly in the 14th minute of play. Pierce Gerrard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Connor Wright tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierce Gerrard in the 17th minute of play forced Barr Point's goalkeeper Connor Wright to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Owen Welsh scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pepe Le Petit, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. John Donnelly who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Connor Wright when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Fenton in the 23rd minute of play forced Barr Point's goalkeeper Connor Wright to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Christian Fenton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Connor Wright was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With his leg Connor Wright managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when TibaDons's John Donnelly fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Connor Wright stood somewhat misplaced when John Donnelly came free in front of goal and shot 3-1 to the left of him in the 26 minute. Connor Wright made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Donnelly in the 30th minute of play. Connor Wright made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when John Donnelly sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd minute, John Donnelly made a precise shot to the right of Connor Wright. Barr Point's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. In the 37th minute of the match, John Donnelly tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Connor Wright saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barr Point's goalkeeper Connor Wright, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Connor Wright made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when John Donnelly sent off a good shot on target. John Donnelly in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Connor Wright, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by CJ Street in the 46th minute of play forced TibaDons's goalkeeper Pepe Le Petit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. John Donnelly could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Connor Wright made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. John Donnelly was the one to do the kick off. Eric Clegg kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Terry Steele kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes in the game, Ian Emander dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ian Emander in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Connor Wright saved Barr Point from getting behind. Christian Fenton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Wright having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Donnelly in the 60th minute of play forced Barr Point's goalkeeper Connor Wright to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Connor Wright showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Clegg in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Barr Point was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grant Aldridge to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th match minute, TibaDons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Bellomo to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, TibaDons's goalkeeper Pepe Le Petit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Owen Welsh. Connor Wright took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Donnelly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Connor Wright showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Fenton, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, Christian Fenton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TibaDons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barr Point fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! Barr Point:s Connor Wright showed great skill when he stopped Marek Sykes:s penalty. In the 80th minute, Marek Sykes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Connor Wright was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-2. In the 83rd minute John Donnelly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Connor Wright saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 8-2 when John Donnelly sped through Barr Point's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Connor Wright. Connor Wright made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Donnelly in the 87th minute of play. Connor Wright showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Donnelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Connor Wright stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Donnelly's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 89thth minute of the game John Donnelly who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barr Point's Connor Wright was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Barr Point's Owen Welsh slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pepe Le Petit. That made the score 8-3 after 92 minutes of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The TibaDons fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barr Point had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
