In the 3rd minute of the match Niclas Nyström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peter Robson skillfully saved the ball. In the 6th minute, Ed Delamore left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Celery fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Celery's goal looked a bit too open when Tosh Higginson came free, but Ellison Emmenegger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 14 minutes on the clock, Gary Mead commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 18 minutes into the match, Celery's goalkeeper Ellison Emmenegger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lawrence Corbridge. After 21 minutes, Tosh Higginson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hythe United Rangers and the Celery players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tosh Higginson hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Peter Robson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tristan Lane in the 24th minute of the match. Ed Delamore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Robson having to interfere. Lawrence Corbridge kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Peter Robson came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Celery's Ed Delamore. But to his dismay, Ed Delamore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Celery's Ellison Emmenegger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Celery from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute, Tristan Lane left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Celery fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tristan Lane to strike the kick off in the second half. Zak Crocker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ellison Emmenegger having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hythe United Rangers's Lance Eyre got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Celery's Tristan Lane in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hythe United Rangers's goalie prevented a goal. 56 minutes into the match, Ed Delamore notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Hythe United Rangers's Peter Robson. Peter Robson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Celery's Tristan Lane in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hythe United Rangers's goalie prevented a goal. Ellison Emmenegger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lance Eyre, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Ellison Emmenegger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Newton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tristan Lane in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Robson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 73 minutes into the match, Nick Newton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ellison Emmenegger. Celery's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nick Newton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in Hythe United Rangers's zone, Ed Delamore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Robson came out of the goal and Ed Delamore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Celery's Tristan Lane got a free kick in the 79th minute. The Celery fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Celery's Tristan Lane looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ed Delamore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peter Robson having to make a save. Celery's Antony Best was substituted for Ariel Izotz. In a very dangerous position, a player in Celery fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! Celery:s Ellison Emmenegger showed great skill when he stopped Lance Eyre:s penalty. 96 minutes into the game, Hythe United Rangers's Lance Eyre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ellison Emmenegger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. Celery's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
