Spectators: 9212 (Terracing: 6911, Seating: 2118, VIP seats: 183) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lukáš Korbel kicked off to start the match. Iván Sotomayor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miroslav Rusnák having to interfere. Iván Sotomayor had several of the FK Banka's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 4 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Miroslav Rusnák as he didn't even see the shot coming. Filip Ďurkovič hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Well-Well O'Connells short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Miroslav Rusnák to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 9 played minutes FC Smolenice got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Ermano. 13 minutes into the match, Iván Sotomayor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miroslav Rusnák. FK Banka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iván Sotomayor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. FK Banka's Miroslav Rusnák proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save FK Banka from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iván Sotomayor in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miroslav Rusnák prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 17 minutes, Iván Sotomayor made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. FK Banka's Miroslav Rusnák tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute Iván Sotomayor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslav Rusnák saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FK Banka's Miroslav Rusnák proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save FK Banka from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, FC Smolenice's Csongor Tímár got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute, FK Banka's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Csongor Tímár fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Basilio Ermano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, FC Smolenice's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Luknár came free, but Dávid Lapár reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FK Banka's zone, Csongor Tímár stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miroslav Rusnák came out of the goal and Csongor Tímár tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iván Sotomayors short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Miroslav Rusnák to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Miroslav Rusnák stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iván Sotomayor's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. When FC Smolenice's Iván Sotomayor in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FK Banka's goalie prevented a goal. FK Banka's Miroslav Rusnák played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yoncho Spaskov in the 43rd minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Csongor Tímár recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Miroslav Rusnák. Csongor Tímár showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iván Sotomayor to make the kick off. The supporters of FC Smolenice booed when FK Banka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jozef Užík didn't get a good kick on the ball. Well-Well O'Connell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Well-Well O'Connell took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miroslav Rusnák. Miroslav Rusnák dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. If Yoncho Spaskov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Well-Well O'Connell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC Smolenice booed when FK Banka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Móric Machava didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yoncho Spaskov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miroslav Rusnák having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iván Sotomayor in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. The FC Smolenice fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. 95 minutes into the match, FK Banka's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Pachl came free, but Miroslav Rusnák reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Well-Well O'Connell managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Smolenice's supporters rose to their feet, but Well-Well O'Connell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miroslav Rusnák breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Smolenice's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
