Spectators: 10929 (Terracing: 8198, Seating: 2513, VIP seats: 218) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Mikla started the match with the kick off. Štefan Semeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Mikla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, V.K.DRINK Hermanovce's Erik Króner got a free kick in the 6th minute. AFK Petržalka's Štefan Semeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Mikla in the 9th minute of play. Erik Króner hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute Tomáš Požgaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, AFK Petržalka's Štefan Semeno got control of the ball when Daniel Mikla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Štefan Semeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Mikla, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Peter Pekarík got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 33rd minute, Martin Janko sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AFK Petržalka's Štefan Semeno didn't even have to move. Tomáš Požgaj might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Doriva Reis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomáš Požgaj ran back to his position shaking his head. Doriva Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomáš Požgaj in the 41st minute of play. After 43 played minutes V.K.DRINK Hermanovce got a freekick which was hit by Stano Štoch. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Mieszko Chodzinski got a free kick in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomáš Požgaj to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Martin Janko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Štefan Semeno. AFK Petržalka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Janko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 58 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Mikla came free, but Štefan Semeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomáš Požgaj blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Doriva Reis having to make a save. Štefan Semeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Mikla in the 68th minute of the match. Tomáš Požgaj recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AFK Petržalka's Ján Novák was substituted for Tomáš Požgaj. In the 93rd minute, Ján Novák got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Martin Janko notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of AFK Petržalka's Štefan Semeno. Štefan Semeno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
