AFK Petržalka's Štefan Semeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Shearer in the 25th minute of play. Alan Shearer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Štefan Semeno made a huge save. AFK Petržalka's Balázs Borbély quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Michal Bada, made in the 31st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Okoyomon Charles Bukowski got a free kick in the 39th minute. Štefan Semeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ant Man in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of JuSi Malacky booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Okoyomon Charles Bukowski didn't get a good kick on the ball.

JuSi Malacky's Adam Pinka was substituted for Dacian Papadima. The wind increased when Tomáš Požgaj made the kick off in the second half. Ján Novák made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 78thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Kaapo Velikiy would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Adam Obert kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Štefan Semeno came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by JuSi Malacky's Ant Man. But to his dismay, Ant Man quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. JuSi Malacky's Kaapo Velikiy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save JuSi Malacky from getting a goal against them. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
