Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mervan Lisjak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franček Juršič stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fuad Šolman's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Fuad Šolman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franček Juršič read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Jean Šerjak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maribor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean Šerjak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franček Juršič showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fuad Šolman in the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Maribor's Jean Šerjak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franček Juršič narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 26 minutes, Fuad Šolman made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Juršinci's Franček Juršič tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Maribor's Darinko Požlep proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Maribor from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Jean Šerjak kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Franček Juršič. That made the score 0-3 in the 53 minute of play. Jean Šerjak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franček Juršič having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Lejs Mešić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Fuad Šolman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Franček Juršič. The goal made the score 0-4. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Franček Juršič successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fuad Šolman struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Franček Juršič didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maribor. In the 78th minute Goran Brezovec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darinko Požlep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darinko Požlep showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Goran Brezovec, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Maribor's goal looked a bit too open when Mervan Lisjak came free, but Darinko Požlep reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mervan Lisjak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Juršinci booed when Maribor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moreno Gašperlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean Šerjak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Franček Juršič made a huge save. Jean Šerjak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franček Juršič having to interfere. Maribor's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
