Virgil Tihel hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Krsta Rojc kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. When Maribor's Krsta Rojc in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mirna FC's goalie prevented a goal. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Krsta Rojc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Mirna FC's zone, Krsta Rojc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobi Dobrina came out of the goal and Krsta Rojc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Maribor's Daniel Skender got control of the ball when Valen Kalin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute, Servacij Kuster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Krsta Rojc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Servacij Kuster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Servacij Kuster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobi Dobrina having to interfere. Novica Dragovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Daniel Skender tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Krsta Rojc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobi Dobrina having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valen Kalin in the 63rd minute of play forced Maribor's goalkeeper Daniel Skender to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 minutes Maribor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gregorij Volmut who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Mirna FC's Gregorij Volmut to fire away a dangerous shot which Daniel Skender despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 68th minute, Novica Dragovan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobi Dobrina didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 69th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. After 77 minutes, Valen Kalin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mirna FC and the Maribor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valen Kalin hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match.
