Villiam Nyman made in the 10th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jan Lindell however managed to control. Mattias Sjöö took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frans Flink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of BK Merzog booed when Vikarbyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Grep didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jack Fagerberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Hansson having to make a save. The long shot by Villiam Nyman in the 19th minute really tested Mattias Sjöö's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vikarbyn! 30 minutes into the match, Vikarbyn's goalkeeper Mattias Sjöö had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfred Koch. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jack Fagerberg in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adam Hansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Verner Lundqvist fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BK Merzog's protests and gave Verner Lundqvist a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of BK Merzog:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vikarbyn:s goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frans Flink made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Jack Fagerberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adam Hansson was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Kjell-Arne Granström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Adam Hansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mattias Sjöö showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Koch, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Vikarbyn's Kjell-Arne Granström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adam Hansson. That made the score 1-2 after 60 minutes of play. If Jack Fagerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc Duset hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Jack Fagerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th match minute, Vikarbyn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Verner Vester to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Andreas Bratt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vikarbyn's supporters rose to their feet, but Andreas Bratt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Hansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When BK Merzog's Frans Flink in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vikarbyn's goalie prevented a goal. If Jack Fagerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc Duset charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marc Duset the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to BK Merzog getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Marc Duset hit a great ball. Marc Duset was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 89th minute, Marc Duset hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95thth minute of the game Jack Fagerberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BK Merzog's Adam Hansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The BK Merzog fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vikarbyn were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
