But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stellan Termander couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Jonny Alstedt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jonny Alstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesper Hult, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gagnef RK's Anthon Lekberg got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenny Söderlund during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
