Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Perssons IF's Floyd Durden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan-Erik Forsell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alf Wiman during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Scrub getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Alf Wiman hit a great ball. Perssons IF's Kim Sellberg shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 12th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jan-Erik Forsell but with some difficulty. 19 minutes into the match, Scrub's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Pastor came free, but Jan-Erik Forsell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Oliver Pastor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Erik Forsell was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Jan-Erik Forsell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Floyd Durden in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Pastor in the 33rd minute of play forced Scrub's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Forsell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Arne Helberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Biörling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Floyd Durden in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan-Erik Forsell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oliver Pastor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan-Erik Forsell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute of the match, Leif Wenerdahl got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bo Biörling was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Floyd Durden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliver Pastor succeeded in the game's 59th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Oliver Pastor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jan-Erik Forsell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Erik Forsell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Pastor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Perssons IF's Bo Biörling got control of the ball when Leif Wenerdahl tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89thth minute of the game Floyd Durden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scrub's Jan-Erik Forsell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jan-Erik Forsell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Pastor, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Perssons IF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Scrub had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
