The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Sonny Mattsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Karl Törnqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig-Arne Holmberg in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Njurunda IFK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Stig-Arne Holmberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Alexander Stål charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Stål the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 14 minutes into the match, Highvalley Virgins's Tor Sandberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sonny Mattsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Highvalley Virgins's Alvin Österlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helge Löfdahl in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Sonny Mattsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Karl Törnqvist, 1-0. Stig-Arne Holmberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Karl Törnqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edgar Josefsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvin Österlund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Edgar Josefsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvin Österlund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Josefsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Karl Törnqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sonny Mattsson's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Njurunda IFK booed when Highvalley Virgins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludvig Dahlkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Njurunda IFK's Alexander Stål got his second yellow card of the match in the 57th minute. The referee ordered Alexander Stål off the ground. After 58 played minutes Njurunda IFK got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Stål. When Highvalley Virgins's Stig-Arne Holmberg in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Njurunda IFK's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Mattsson in the 68th minute of play forced Njurunda IFK's goalkeeper Karl Törnqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sonny Mattsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Sonny Mattsson notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Njurunda IFK's Karl Törnqvist. Karl Törnqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Sonny Mattsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Highvalley Virgins's supporters rose to their feet, but Sonny Mattsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Törnqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stig-Arne Holmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Karl Törnqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvin Österlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Josefsson in the 94th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Njurunda IFK defense, Stig-Arne Holmberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl Törnqvist. The Njurunda IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl Törnqvist should have stopped the shot. Highvalley Virgins's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
