Spectators: 7371 (Terracing: 5529, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Konrad Nyström started the match with the kick off. Carl Wennerberg's late challenge caught a Kalmar FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carl Wennerberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes Silverforsen FC got a freekick which was hit by Carl Wennerberg. In the 4th minute, Jörgen Cane sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Silverforsen FC's Leif Salqvist didn't even have to move. Silverforsen FC's Leif Salqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Runberg in the 7th minute of play. Per-Arne Näver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Salqvist having to interfere. Leif Salqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Runberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Silverforsen FC's zone, Per-Arne Näver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leif Salqvist came out of the goal and Per-Arne Näver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Kalmar FF fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Kalmar FF's Ove Runberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leif Salqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Runberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Leif Salqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Arne Näver in the 34th minute of play. Leif Salqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ove Runberg in the 35th minute of the match. Per-Arne Näver took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leif Salqvist. Leif Salqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 42nd minute, Kalmar FF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jan Hedlund fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 47th minute Per-Arne Näver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Salqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rutger Almstedt charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rutger Almstedt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ove Runberg was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Ove Runberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 61 minutes, Ove Runberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kalmar FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ove Runberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kalmar FF's Thomas Jönsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Hedlund in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Kalmar FF booed when Silverforsen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casper Ahlfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Jörgen Cane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kalmar FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jörgen Cane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leif Salqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ove Runberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Leif Salqvist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Samuel Frisk hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. When Alexander Wallin fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kalmar FF's protests and gave Alexander Wallin a yellow card for diving instead. Alexander Wallin kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Konrad Nyström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexander Wallin got his second yellow card in the match during the 88th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 88th match minute, Kalmar FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Wallin to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Per-Arne Näver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Salqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Per-Arne Näver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leif Salqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Uter in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute Konrad Nyström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Jönsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per-Arne Näver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Salqvist having to interfere. When the match was over Kalmar FF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Silverforsen FC throughout the match.
