An unexpectedly hard shot by Sivert Simonsson in the 24th minute of play forced Sundby United FC's goalkeeper Tommy Tunander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilgot Rosen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Tunander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frans Forsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th match minute, Sundby United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Sandström to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frans Forsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Frans Forsberg took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Tunander. Tommy Tunander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Sigvard Frisck came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Sundby United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sigvard Frisck couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sigvard Frisck made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Sundby United FC's Georg Sandström got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 57th match minute, Lesjöfors RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frans Forsberg to maneuver through the defense. Sigvard Frisck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats Nordmark having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lesjöfors RK's zone, Vilgot Rosen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mats Nordmark came out of the goal and Vilgot Rosen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the match, Sundby United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sivert Simonsson came free, but Tommy Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sundby United FC's Georg Sandström got a free kick in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, Lesjöfors RK's Niclas Bryngelsson got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the game, Niclas Bryngelsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When Frans Forsberg came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Lesjöfors RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frans Forsberg couldn't finish the play. The Sundby United FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lesjöfors RK's performance. The match ended with a win for Lesjöfors RK.
