An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Lenberg in the 6th minute of play forced Legia Warsaw Patriots's goalkeeper Lennart Emander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 6 minutes, Ulrik Vennersten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Legia Warsaw Patriots and the Vaksdal IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Legia Warsaw Patriots was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrik Vennersten to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Legia Warsaw Patriots's Wilhelm Bergren got a free kick in the 8th minute. Lennart Emander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Lenberg in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Peter Elg made a precise shot to the right of Lennart Emander. Legia Warsaw Patriots's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Legia Warsaw Patriots's Lennart Emander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Elg in the 18th minute of play. After 23 played minutes Vaksdal IF got a freekick which was hit by Zebastian Broberg. When Peter Elg came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Vaksdal IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Elg couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, Bengt-Rune Thorsberg made a precise shot to the right of Lennart Emander. Legia Warsaw Patriots's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Elg in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lennart Emander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, Legia Warsaw Patriots's goalkeeper Lennart Emander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Elg. 34 minutes into the game, Vaksdal IF's Karl-Åke Mårtensson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lennart Emander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Elg got free with Lennart Emander in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peter Elg kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 45thth minute of the game Peter Elg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Legia Warsaw Patriots's Lennart Emander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Legia Warsaw Patriots's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Elg came free, but Lennart Emander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The wind increased when Peter Elg made the kick off in the second half. When Vaksdal IF's Peter Elg in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Legia Warsaw Patriots's goalie prevented a goal. Bengt-Rune Thorsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Lennart Emander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lennart Emander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Elg, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Peter Elg put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lennart Emander. Lennart Emander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Lenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lennart Emander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peter Elg went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. After 67 minutes, Peter Elg made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Legia Warsaw Patriots's Lennart Emander tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th match minute, Legia Warsaw Patriots was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrik Vennersten to maneuver through the defense. When Peter Lenberg came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Vaksdal IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Lenberg couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Vaksdal IF booed when Legia Warsaw Patriots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrik Nyman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Vaksdal IF fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Vaksdal IF's Peter Elg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Peter Elg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lennart Emander was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Peter Elg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt-Rune Thorsberg took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lennart Emander. Lennart Emander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. When the referee ended the match the Vaksdal IF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
